In Arizona, all DUI programs (Education and/or Treatment) begin with a mandatory DUI screening. This initial evaluation serves two key purposes: securing a Restricted Driver’s License for use during the 90-day suspension period and determining the specific number of DUI Education or Treatment hours required, based on the severity of the offense and the individual’s prior legal history.
If you must take a DUI screening, the Motor Vehicle Division will mail you an official letter with the details and any additional instructions.
